The previous discussion assumed that one message is sent to one person, but E-Mail has an added advantage when there is more than one addressee. It is easier to send a message to multiple addressees on EMail than by the regular mail or by phone. To send to four people, one simply adds more identifiers at the "To:" prompt. On the other hand, to send the same message to the same four people by regular mail would involve photocopying the letter and making separate envelopes for each person. To send the same message to the same four people by phone would involve either four separate telephone calls or that most user-unfriendly of all animals: the conference call.
